Silencing the Media in Russia

A court in Moscow banned Meta Platforms such as Facebook and Instagram on Monday from what they call 'extremist activity.'

The courts are accusing these social media platforms of "ignoring government requests to remove what they described as fake news about Russian military actions in Ukraine and calls for anti-war protests in Russia."

Along with the shutdown and ban of these social media platforms, the Russian authorities have shut off access websites such as BBC, the U.S. government-funded Voice of America and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, German broadcaster Deutsche Welle and Lativa-based website Meduza.

When is enough, enough?

The government control in Russia is becoming outrageous with the now control of the media that their citizens can take in and watch.

The Russian government is using their platform to silence the truth from it's citizens and to keep them oblivious to things going on in the outside world.

When do you think the Russian citizens will have enough?
